Altered Shoe Tutorial by Amy Voorthuis

Hi everyone,
Today I want to share something else other than a layout, card, or canvas.The color challenge graphic this month is pretty sexy as I may say so. I was really inspired by those beautiful looking high heels. That’s why I thought that I might have some high heels that I never wear anymore, and give them a makeover. I woman can never have enough heels right???

I used the pretty pink tones from this amazing mood board:
I first started with this already amazing purple heel {love the color but not the style}
First I cut of that bow on the front of the heel, then I used some washi tape that you can buy in any hardware store to protect the black on the heel.
Then I gessoed it two times with heavy gesso by Finnabair. I so love that gesso.
To dry it quickly, I used my heat tool. And now it looked like this:
The inside of the heel was done with some Maja Designs, paper, and modeling paste to make the script on it. Later on, I sprayed them with Bougainvillea Fuchsia Starburst Spray.
Then I took a paintbrush, and and just painted the whole heel with Pretty In Pink Pink Starburst Spray then did  a layer with Bougainvillea Fuchsia Starburst Spray. But it was o darker pink than what I wanted,  so I painted it with Frozen Jack Frost Starburst Spray

Later on, I used my amazing BoBunny Stickable Stencil to make the pretty pasted sides, and then I altered my heel adding beautiful Petaloo flowers.

Here is my finished heel:

The left side:

I really hope you all like my high heel.

We would love for you the play with our February Color Challenge!

 Have a wonderful day.

Amy
