Mother’s Day Card by Amy Voorthuis

Hi sweet fiends,It’s Amy here, and I would like to share a card that I have made using this months color challenge colors! I totally love these soft colors.

First, I started with a sheet of double dot chiffon chevron to make the base of the card size 7,7 by 4,9 inch. On top of that base I layered a piece slightly smaller than the base using the gorgeous “Wallflower” collection by Tim Holtz.

I layered another sheet on top of that which I first stitched and distressed {the edges}.
Then I gessod it and used a stencil {mini north star}with crackle paste. I used all this months color challenge sprays and sprayed it over the past.

  2. Beautiful card, Amy! The layers, modeling paste and papers all made for a lovely background and your flowers, along with the pretty flowers, twine and cheesecloth – gorgeous!

  3. Amy… Oh GOSH !!! Your card is awesome. Fabulous, pretty and so very well composed. I adore your flowers. They are awesome. Did you make the flowers yourself or did you alter some pre-made ones ??
The background you built up by several layers is so lovely as well. The crackle paste you stenciled makes a great impact as well. Oh you are so very talented. Thank you for sharing this very pretty card.
    Hugs from Monica….. Spain
