“My Heritage” Journal Spread by Lizzy Wurmann

Hi my friends, it’s Lizzy with you today!  This time I wanted to do something about my family and me.

As many of you know, I was born and raised in Chile. My father came here escaping from the World War II, he was Romanian, and my mother’s parents came from Poland. At that time, it seems that  South America was like the actual “American Dream” for people who were scared about their future in Europe.

In this spread, I wanted to represent both worlds (Europe and South America) pointing the countries, and making marks on the journey my ancestors had to go through.

Of course I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays to give them a vintage look.

  1. Lizzy,
This is my all time favorite set of journal pages – ever! I think they are beautiful and the lines of travel, pictures and embellies are perfect. Your journal pages will be providing much inspiration for many crafters (myself included). I do love your work – and thanks for sharing your art.
P.S. Lovin’ the nail color too! Kathy

  2. Lizzy, thank you for the wonderful ideas! I’m getting ready to do a birthday canvas for my youngest brother. It will feature the only photograph we have of our great-grandfather, a first-generation American. His parents both emigrated from Ireland. Your spread has given me some great ideas! Thank you.
