“Happy Birthday Cute Girl!” Card by Amy Voorthuis

Hello everyone,

It’s Amy here. Today I would like to share a birthday card that I made for my sweet niece who is turning four this Sunday. For the base of my card I used some soft toned papers by Maja Design, which I treated with a mask and paste & the pretty pink/purple tones of the spray’s in this months Color Challenge. Did you already enter for a chance to win?

I   used a bunch of chipboard on this card. The branches are first treated with the Oakleaf Olive embossing powder. When dried, I splattered some Flat Fabio Greased Lightnin’ Green on them which gives it a real pretty splatter effect {like a real tree}.

The Lindy’s Stamp Gang embossing powders are awesome to work with, as you can see on my little frame. First, I embossed it with the pretty Geranium Coral Blush and then I only embossed the top part of the frame with the Sunset Yellow Orange to give it a golden shimmer 😉

Don’t you just love the sweet vintage picture of the mother & child? I really enjoyed making this card, but I think it’s more a card for a ten year old than a four year old girl.

I always make my flower clusters with a piece of cheese cloth underneath it to make it  look more like real flowers.

I will not be at the birthday party Sunday, but I sure hope she will like the card.
Did you know if you play along our monthly challenge, you can win a $50 dollar Gift Certificate to the store?
That’s a lot of spray’s or embossing powders right?? Well good luck!
Lindy’s Stamp Gang Product’s used:
Spray’s:
Magnolia Magenta Gold
Embossing powders:
I want to thank you for stopping by, did I inspire you to play along??
Have a wonderful day!
Love,
