3D Mixed Media Canvas Tutorial by Stephanie Papin

Hi  everyone!

Stéphanie with you today ! And for the beginning of the month, I  come to share my first project inspired by our new color palette. Did you see this new combo ?

I really love these colors ! YES !It’s very inspiring! If you need to  have some ideas to know which  colors you  need to  work  with  this palette, check out our limited edition sets below:

May 2015 Limited Edition Spray Set

May 2015 Limited Edition Embossing Powder Set
May 2015 Limited Edition Mega Set

And now, here is below my  interpretation:
I made a canvas and I worked with a lot of  Lindy’s colors. On the technical side, there is absolutly  no  difficulty.   I ‘ve just added the colors of the palette, and a few other colors to add more contrast. There is for example, some touch  of India ink in addition of the Lindy’s.

To make this canvas, I ‘ve  just played with color by throwing color drops. Below you  can  see some photos of the  the beginning of my creation:
I begin with a collage of papers, and here you can see my first drops of ink …
I continue with other colors …
Time to  add some dark colors, here  the Hydrangea Blue, and the india ink.
Some drops of gesso diluted with water …
Here, in the center, I wanted to add some printed text. I used paper towel to cover the place I wanted to see my  stamp …
I continued to work with colors in the same way, small and big drops, both diluted with drops of water, and not.
Below some close-ups of  my canvas, I hope you will like it, and I hope you like our new palette. I can’t wait to see what you will share with us for our challenge of the month! Thank you in advance for stopping by!
