Mixed Media Sea Journal by Marta Turska Grochocka

Hello friends!  It’s Marta JaMajka here.  It’s almost summer – so I created this tiny Sea journal.
It’s great for writing down some summer memories and adventures, adding some photos or holiday souvenirs.
When I created my background, I used Clam Cake Beige and Ocean Breeze Blue – I created delicate effect of watercolor. I used Clam Cake Beige spray to add some color to the flowers as well – I will show you a closeup in the end of this blog post.
Creating my journal I used colors from May Color Challenge Set from Lindy’s Stamp Gang shop.

I used some Hollyhack Scarlet Plum embossing powder to accent sea shells.

Now they look just like the picture!I covered the inscription chipboard with Hydrangea Blue spray – now it has beautiful color and amazing shine and it fits to the picture too 😉You can watch my video tutorial, where I’m creating my watercolor background from the beginning. I created it using a blank white piece of cardstock, it wasn’t covered with gesso first- just a paper.

Here is a photo of paper roses covered with amazing Clam Cake Beige, they have so beautiful, delicate shine!I hope you enjoyed my video and my blog post. Maybe it will inspire You to prepare some journals for holiday souvenirs and memories 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!
