Lindy’s Double Embossed Technique

Step 2: Get some embossing ink and embossing powders (Marta used  Bonjour Butter and Madonna Robe Blue Gold). Also, get an ink roller and a glass plate ready.Step 3: Add some embossing ink to the plate.Step 4: Apply some embossing ink with a roller on the embossed cardstock. The excess of embossing ink can be applied on another piece of cardstock (it’s good to have extra pieces on hand). Sometimes, the roller can take on too much ink, and it creates ugly stains. Watch out for this. Try to cover only the embossed surface with the embossing ink (places, which are sticking out from the surface of the paper).Step 5: Cover your pieces of paper with embossing powders.Step 6: It should look like this.Step 7: Apply heat with your heat tool to melt the embossing powder.Step 8: Now it’s time for the magic to happen!!! Grab the Lindy’s colors you want to use and spray to your heart’s content.Step 9: Marta mixed colors – yellow and blue, and yellow and green. Get your heat tool and again heat your cardstock to dry it.Step 10: After drying the carstock with heat, wipe off  the stains and spots of color mist from the embossed surface with a moist paper towel.Step 11: Voila 🙂 Now it’s time to cut your cardstock to fit it into the project you want to create.Here, Marta used all embossing powders, and all mists from the  July 2015 Color Challenge Mega Set The following are just some examples of what you can create, if  you decide to play with this technique. Here are some closeups of what Marta created using:- blue embossing powder (Madonna Robe Blue Gold);- blue spray (Blue Hawaiian Blue);- yellow spray (Bonjour Butter). In the end, the background is sprayed with Lindy’s mists to add even more dimension—–  you can use your backgrounds in any way you want! Greeting cards and Artist Trading Cards are just an example of what you can do!
