Two Card Tutorials and a giveaway by Natalie May

Hello gang!  Natalie here today and here in South Australia we are in the heart of winter … the days are cold and drab, it’s overcast and grey …. so I felt the need to make something bright and punchy for my post today!

I love to make card,s and very rarely do I make them using pastes and sprays, so I really enjoyed whipping these ones up! (I’m more a paper based card maker!)

So easy and surprisingly quick too! Here are a few easy steps to make these cards.

I used the colors from the August Color Challenge release set as inspiration today – love this set!

The butterfly card is using Poincianna Red Flame, French Lilac & Ramblin Rose and the “hello” card is using Luscious Lime, Caribbean Blue and French Lilac.

I also used Toto’s Tornado Black to add a few final splatters for dimension and color my Imaginarium Designs words!

Here are a few close ups of the cards – how nice does that Gold shimmer look? 🙂

I’ve decided to give both of these cards away!

Please leave a comment on this post and I’ll have my faithful 12 year old assistant choose 2 winners, and I’ll announce them on my next post in about 10 days time!

I hope that wherever you are it’s sunny and warm and you are crafting up a storm!

Thanks for dropping by!

  2. Your cards have the colors we experienced today here at Smith Mountain Lake, VA. We had bright blue skies and deep green grass here and a beautiful orange and red sunset. Thanks for sharing your cards and techniques.

  3. Wow, I love these colourful, vibrant cards! Thank you for the tutorial <3.The blue-green one is my favourite. It looks so special, to let the embellishments peek over the edge of the card.
Thank you for the chance to win a giveaway!
