Embossing vellum to create embellishments!

Hi my friends and Lindy’s Stamp Gang fans!!  It’s Irina Gerschuk with you today with a new project and a short video on a quick & easy but versatile technique.

It always feels so nice to create something bright and colorful during the fall period and the new Neon Graffiti Set helps me with that!!!

Products used: Urban AmethystPoppin’ PinkLuminous LemonPurely White embossing powder, Poppin’ Pink magical all found in the Neon Graffiti set:

mega set- neon graffiti

The technique I’d like to share with you today is embossing and coloring on the vellum. Using it you can create you own airy embellishments (by stamping image and embossing it on the vellum, and them cutting it with your scissors) or just achieve resist-effect (by embossing and then adding some color with any type of pigment).

Here’re some close-ups of such embellishments (butterfly):

I’ve used white embossing powder to create these butterflies but you can use any other color of LSG ep:

And here’s a closer look to the background:

I’ve also created a short video tutorial on this fun technique.

Thank you for joining me!

  1. This is GORGEOUS! I love embossing on vellum. Please tell me what you used for the apple slices?! And do they have those tiny clear beads on them? They look like they have a very cool texture!
