Hello Lindy’s Lovers!!
Blazing Black, Sidewalk Chalk, Poppin’ Pink, Luminous Lemon, and Urban Amethyst… These are the colors to the brand spankin’ new Neon Graffiti Sprays . And there are matching Embossing Powders and Magicals too…Oh my…If you don’t think you can work with bright colors, you have just got to try these out!!! They are beautiful!!
I adhered 2 layers of paper onto a 12×12 piece of corrugated cardboard using Mod Podge. Once it dried, I peeled back the papers to reveal the cardboard. The cardboard was then sprayed with Poppin’ Pink and Urban Amethyst Flat Fabio sprays.
Obviously Black Embossing powder was used to heat emboss the color onto the die cut frames. The coverage is unbelievably wonderful! A true deep black at its darkest with a bit of sheen. The background paper was primed with clear gesso and all of the colors in the spray set were used to spatter, drip and spray.
The silk flowers started off as a pale lavender color. I used Luminous Lemon on the outside, the Urban Anethyst in the very middle and a touch of Poppin’ Pink on some of the edges of the petals. the variegated look turned out beautiful. The yellow on the lavender gave it a chartreuse kind of color. The chipboard leaves were heat embossed using the Luminous Lemon embossing powder.
This is just a closeup of the flowers. The colors in this set are simply amazing. I love how the colors just soak in and bleed to create a faded effect on the silk flowers but don’t muddy each other up.
I used the stem of Blazing Black Flat Fabio spray to outline the file and tags to give them definition. I used the Luminous Lemon Flat Fabio spray to touch some of the edges of the background paper.
Luminous Yellow embossing powder was used to heat emboss the title Strong. Underneath is a die cut paper that resembles a torn notebook and that was painted using Blazing Black Magicals.
Hope you enjoyed my tutorial.
