Easy batik card background

I am loving making cards at the moment .. being able to create small little
works of art that I can give to my fave people is really making me happy!

A couple of weeks ago, I was shown a technique using 3D Crystal Lacquer & Dimensional Magic and thought I would give it a go using the Go Greased Lightnin’ Spray set.
This set is a beautiful Flat spray that includes the following colors:
Danny Zuko’s DenimGreased Lightnin’ Green,
Rizzo’s Rowdy RedSandra Dee SepiaTears on My Pillow Tangerine

I love this color set as it’s nice and bright and punchy but most importantly,
the colors all work together really well.

I used watercolor paper for my base and used the fine nozzle on the bottle to
simply draw circles, squiggles and lines. I left it to air dry for a couple of hours
before coming back and spraying on my color.
I love the way the Crystal Lacquer creates a fun resist!

To finish the cards, I cut some die cut shapes using my Sizzix Machine,
painted on colors from the Go Greased Lightnin’ Spray set and then
for the words, coated them in Angel Wings Peacock Embossing Powder.

Super simple and super effective!

Thanks for dropping by today!

Much Love
