Hi everyone, it’s Solange Marques here with a gorgeous and very different technique for you today using Lindy’s Stamp Gang products to create watercolor art on teabags.
I’ve used Magicals to create this artwork on a teabag.
This is how I’ve created my project:
First of all, I’ve glued the tea bags on watercolor paper using regular gel medium.
I’ve stamped on the tea bags
And I’ve used Magicals: Rizzo’s Rowdy Red, Sandra Dee Sepia, Greased Lightnin’ Green as a watercolor paint to add color to the stamped images.
The color may bleed a little onto the background.
Outline the image using a watercolor pen
Add Caribbean Blue and more stamps, make the blue darkest around the edges of the flowers to create depth.
This is how it looks close up.
The teabags create a really interesting textured background.
I have filmed a video to showing how you can make this, you can watch it below or on the Lindy’s Stamp Gang YouTube Channel.
Tips
- To get a watercolor effect, you must add more water on the places where you want more light and on areas where you want greater color depth, you must use magical almost without water
- You can get different background using others types of the tea.
