Step by step layout by Caroline

Hi gang! Caroline here today to show you a fun step by step tutorial with fabulous Starburst sprays and embossing powders.

I’ve used Starburst sprays on a plastic bag to create a super easy watercolor background. I’ve chosen to put embossing powder over it to create texture and to cover my chippies as well.

First of all, use clear gesso all over your background to protect it and let dry. Then use a plastic bag to add color over it. Put some ink on it, spray with water and stamp onto your paper. I’ve used Starburst Cape cod coral, Starburst Ramblin’ rose pink and Starburst Tea pot purple in this order.

When completely dry, add modeling paste over a stencil

Before drying your modeling paste, cover it with Purely white embossing powder. It will keep your modeling paste totally white and will protect from ink coloration. Now dry with your heat gun.

I added texture to mu background with a stamp, versamark ink and Morning glory azure embossing powder.

To obtain an opaque color, I’ve covered my chipboard title with Purely white first and Geranium coral blush embossing powder after.
