Hi gang! Caroline here with you to show you a quick tag I made for the Lindy’s stamp gang booth at CHA in January – make sure you drop in and check out the new Magicals if you’re at Creativation (CHA 2017)!
It’s a simple but super fun technique to use for backgrounds! I love using my Magicals this way. This time I used 3 fabulous shades of blue: Sassy Sapphire, Bachelor Button Blue and Hydrangea Blue. I can’t decide what is my favorite, they are all so gorgeous and highly pigmented! The silver shimmer in Sassy Sapphire makes it glamorous!
Let’s take a look!
First of all, emboss a stamped image with Purely white over a watercolor paper.
Sprinkle your magicals randomly with a fan shaped brush and spray water over it.
I sprayed from 8 to 10 inches high to obtain this look.
I really like how it turns out when I spray from a good distance! Look at this! You can see that some tiny pigments are not blue but this is all part of the magic about the Magicals!
Here are some close ups of my tag once finished
The different shades of blue all look so beautiful together.
**Tips: I emboss before adding color because I don’t want the color to go over the image. Do not heat set your wet magicals (over the embossed surface) or it will color the embossing.
I made a short video if you would like to see the process. You can find it on the Lindy’s stamp gang Youtube channel or watch it here.
