Special and Sweet by Di Garling

special-sweet

Hi there lovelies, thanks for calling by.  Today I have an autumn tone layout to share with you that I created using some gorgeous Lindys Stamp Gang sprays & embossing powders.

glamour-shot

I have used Tears on my Pillow Tangerine, California Poppy Gold & Mango Mania.  Then I added some depth to the colours & stencilling with just a tiny bit of Midnight Rendezvous Raven.

Step #1.  After first applying some gesso to my page I then did a little stencilling with some texture paste. Next step I sprayed my page with water & started adding the orange & yellow sprays & using the water to blend them together.

Step #2.  My next step was to add a little of the “Midnight Rendezvous Raven” (black) & blend it around my page with water. This make the stencilling stand out so much more, but also adds more depth to the page as well.

Step #3.  I then heat embossed some 2Crafty chipboard harlequin shapes with some Lindy’s “Cleopatra Copper” embossing powder. I also sprayed a couple of little mini chipbaord words with the Lindy’s “Midnight Rendezvous Raven” (black) spray, before sticking them all onto the page.

Step #4.  To finish off with I sprayed this gorgeous big orange flower with some of the “Tears on my Pillow Tangerine” spray to match in  with my layout, before sticking on lots of other flowers & leaves too. Last thing I did was to apply some of this “Tears on my Pillow Tangerine” spray, with a brush  from the bottle, around the edges of all the flowers to inject a little more orange to my layout.

I have also created a process video of how I created my layout.

  1. Yes I do store them in ring binder albums that have a wide spine and I stand them upright in a bookcase. Just can’t fit as many in as when you create flat pages, but that is OK. 😄 That’s just my style so I but more albums. Glad to hear you have enjoyed my videos too. Di xo

  2. I just love your layouts…..but how in the world do you store all your work? With all the flowers you surely can’t put them in an album? You are truly an inspiration and I just absolutely love your videos! Thank you so much for taking the time to make so many wonderful videos!
