A Mixed Media Canvas Plus with Di Garling

LOVE canvas product shot

Hello there lovelies, welcome to the blog. Today I have a little canvas I created, as well as some step by step photos and a VIDEO TUTORIAL to share so you can see exactly how it came together.  For my canvas I have used both Lindy’s Starburst and Flat sprays, lots of lovely colors teamed with yummy textures, a match made in heaven!

To start, I gathered a whole pile of bits & pieces, chipboard, bottle cap, buttons, lace, metal frame, cogs, light globe & whatever else I could find and I glued them all onto my canvas using a matt gel medium.

When dry I then gave the whole thing a generous coat of white gesso.

I then followed that up with a little stenciling with some texture paste.

After drying it all off I sprayed the whole thing with water & started adding my colored sprays, Sassy Saphire (my favourite colour), Luscious Lime & a little Grab A Guy Gold. The water helps blend them beautifully.

Next up I added a tiny amount of the black Midnight Rendezvous Raven, I find this gives the whole canvas some depth & just seems to make the other colors POP !

You can watch this being created right here or over on the Lindy’s YouTube channel.

Here are some close ups of the finished project.

Well that’s all from me today. I hope you found time to watch my video & got a little inspiration to perhaps try this colour combination I have used on your next project too.

Until next time.
