Hey creative peeps … Natalie here… popping in today with a short post showing you something cool!!!
I’m one of those people who will find a million other things to do when deadlines are looming… I work best under pressure lol. BUT when I am “procrastinating” … I open my Art Journal, this is my happy space, where I get ‘warmed up’ I guess.
I love using paint in my Journal so decided to make my own using White Acrylic Paint and the NEW Magical Shakers… It was super easy and I loved the finish!
As soon as I got my new Shakers, I updated my swatch book … this is the perfect way to see exactly how the colors work and react with water.
Start by mixing White Paint and a sprinkle of the Magical Shakers
… mix well
and go for it!
I created the background by randomly adding Magical Shakers mixed with paint, and spreading the color with a palette knife.
I mixed some Black Forest Black with Clear Gesso to get some black splatter
This was so much fun and the results are pretty cool!
I have created a little You Tube video of the process for you to check out..

Hey Patti – No – did not prepare or protect! It mixed with acrylic paint beautifully! Thanks for the love xxx
Natalie, This is SO fun to look at. Thank you for the inspiration. Did you do anything to prepare your page first? (Gesso?) And, did you do anything after to protect? (Fixatif?) Just curious because I bought the new shakers and am not sure how to begin or end! Thank you!
