Faux Patina Mixed Media Tag with Tina Stepanova

Hi gang! It’s Tina here today to share with you a mixed media tag made with Lindy’s Magical Shakers and Embossing Powder.

I started with applying a white gesso on a corrugated cardboard tag, and then added modeling paste through a stencil. I also painted chipboard gears and flowers with the gesso and glued them to the tag.

Next, I added a mix of a modeling paste and art stones to make the background more complicated. And after that, I used Oktoberfest Orange and Bratwurst Brown Magical Shakers to get such a beautiful color on the piece.

Then I text stamped a little with an archival ink.

To highlight the colors of the tag I decided to hot emboss it here and there with Guten Tag Teal and Bratwurst Brown embossing powders. I like to use a sponge for applying an embossing ink.

And here is the final result!
