May Color Challenge Inspired Layout by Sanderijn de Bruin

Hi everybody! It’s Sanderijn here with some inspiration for the brand new May color challenge from Lindy’s.  I have used so many different Lindy products on this layout, I wanted to use all the colors from the challenge.

Don’t you just ADORE this color combination?

First I added a layer of clear gesso on my paper, so it holds the water and sprays better.  Then I used Magical Pop Rock Purple mixed with light paste to create a flower pattern with a stencil.

When it was dry I started adding lots of Starburst Tiffany Lou Blue spray and splatters on my paper.

The chipboard branches are sprayed with Starburst Midnight Rendevous Raven first, dried with a heat tool, and then they got two layers of embossing powder Orbit Olive Gold.

The little blue stamped flowers were made with a nice watercolor technique and Starburst Sassy Sapphire and Tiffany Lou Blue.

The die cuts you see tucked in the layers of the center piece got a layer of Starburst Creme Brulee Cream and Sea Grass Green. I made a full video tutorial for you how I created this page (see below).

And a quick step by step on how to create the look on the chipboard branch, using these beautiful colors:

Step one: spray chipboard with Starburst Midnight Rendevous Raven and dry with heat tool.

Second: add Versamark inkpad on the chipboard. Just randomly, you do not have to cover every little bit of chipboard. We want that grungy effect…

Pour the embossing powder Orbit Olive Gold onto the Versamark ink. Randomly, again. Use a heat tool to activate the powder.

Add a second layer if desired (I did).

Et viòla, gorgeous grungy branches!

And here is the video tutorial for you so you can follow along and create your own version.
