Hi there lovelies, thanks for stopping by. Today I have a name plate that I made for my grandaughter Mia to hang on her bedroom wall. I have used lovely sprays in shades of pink & purple with a splash of green!
To start with I had her name cut out of craft wood & then I set about decorating it to match her room.
I applied a generous coat of gesso.
When dry, add stencilling with texture paste & a stencil.
These are the gorgeous Lindy’s colour sprays I used, although I decided against using the aqua one after all: Hottie Patottie Hot Pink, Hibiscus Rose, Tea Pot Purple, Sea Mint Green and Drop Dead Gorgeous Green.
I sprayed & blended both the pinks & the purple with a little water to get a nice soft feel. Plus the water dilutes the color a little.
To finish, I sprayed some chipboard with the Sea Mint Green & Drop Dead Gorgeous Green to add in with the little flowers.
I have made a video so you can see my creative process and make your own children’s bedroom name plate.
Lots of texture, lovely colours & just a few flowers for good measure. I do love the blend of the pinks & purple. Just perfect for a little girl.
