How to Create a Magical Watercolor Background

Hi everyone! This is Valerie here to share my August layout with you. I present a page that I created entirely with Magical powders from Lindy’s Mad Hatter Set. I love to paint with Magicals and use them like watercolors, because the powders bring several tones to the same item and the effect is gorgeous!

Let me show you exactly how to create this floral watercolor background using Lindy’s Magicals, I’ll show you every brush stroke so you can try this yourself!  Go grab your Magicals and a few paint brushes!

First, you must have good watercolor brushes (Black Velvet are my favorites) and good watercolor paper. It’s very important.
Then place a pot of clean water near you.  Soak slightly your brush and remove the excess water on the rim of the pot. You should not have too much water. Then, dip the tip of your brush into the powder.

I used four colors from the set Mad Hatter. You can use other colors if you want. Use different sizes of the brushes to create different effects.

I die-cut some of my leaves and flowers to add dimension to the layout.
