BIG Canvas Watercolor using Lindy’s Sprays by Valerie

Hi Lindy’s lovers! Today, I would like to share a big canvas that I made for my daughter with some Lindy’s colorful spray ink and shakers. I used my Lindy’s with a brush, just like a watercolor paint, and wow did they work well!

I started by using Lindy’s sprays applied to the canvas with a brush to create a watercolor background.  I used: Pineapple Paradise, Curiouser Chartreuse, Caribbean Blue, Magnolia Magenta Gold, Poppin pink, Afternoon Delight Denim, and Urban Amethyst.  For some colors I used water to dilute the dye ink.

Then, I painted watercolor leaves using Ponderosa Pines Olive and Afternoon Delight Denim, and added some splashes of ink everywhere and let this layer dry.

I doodled flowers and leaves with an archival pen over the top of the canvas to create the central designs.

I added details with white paint and a mixture created from Polka Purple shaker and glaze medium. To finish the canvas, I added some splashes of white Sidewalk Chalk spray.

I used a color combo that goes well together. I’m in love with these bright colors.

The Lindy’s sprays worked so well as watercolors that I know I’ll be using them this way again!

I’ve made a video showing the process I used in detail so you can try this yourself.
