ATC Series ‘Old Books’ with Elena

Hello, Lindy’s fans!  Elena here today with my post.

To get into the Lindy’s Design Team I made a big altered-book . Maybe you even remember it :))) I know that many of you liked it very much, surely you would like to do something similar, but perhaps you are afraid to try the large format works. So, try my new inspiration, an ATC set in the form of altered books, I have used amazing Magical Shakers from Lindy’s to add color!

I made a mixed media ATCs with lots of layers and colors.  I used pages from old books for my work, created the background with clear and white gesso. Once it was dry, I added mini-flowers, beads, frames, metal embellishments and little chipboards.  Then, I covered everything with white paint and dried again.

My first book I called the Inca Gold. It has mini sequins, like little gold coins. I have used Oom Pah Pah Pink , Bratwurst Brown, Yodeling Yellow , Autumn Maple Crimson

I love gold accents for my work. So I added a little splashes with Grab a Guy Gold Shimmer Spray onto every book.

The second books is Tales of the sea.  It has a figure of a seahorse and sea stars. I have used Guten Tag Teal ,Afternoon Delight Denim, California Poppy
