How to Create Bright Home Decor Wall Art with Olga Ravenskaya

Hello dear Lindy’s friends!

It’s Olga Ravenskaya here and I’d like to share with you how to turn an ordinary hanger into bright wall art using gorgeous Lindy’s sprays and embossing powders!

Recently I’ve bought a wall hanger for keys or maybe towels and I so love home decor things, I’ve decided to make this ‘thingy’ much more attractive 😉

Have a look at it and all other goodies prepared for my project.

And here is my beautiful “plate” of Lindy’s! 😉

To begin with I covered a wooden piece with a thin layer of white gesso.

Then I partially covered with a thick layer of white crackle paste and pressed a flower stencil into it to make a texture.

Then reversed the stencil and pressed it into other places.

While the paste was wet, I covered it in three shades of mint and teal all over the surface, spraying directly from the bottles.

And added splashes of yellow.

I also painted chipboard pieces using Sassy Sapphire, Merci Beaucoup Mint and Yellow Rose of Texas sprays.

I have to say Lindy’s embossing powders work very well on metal surfaces! So I chose Guten Tag Teal and Tilt-a-Wheel Teal for altering my metal embellishments.

Dab the surface with an embossing dabber and cover partially with the first color of powder.

…and then by another one.

I also combined teal and yellow using the same way, the result is below.

Have a look how the sink beautifully transformed!

Then I added some texture to the chippies using Purely White powder.

Next step I arranged all my embellishments on the wooden piece.

To make it more colorful and bright, I tinted flowers, art stones and some other elements with teal and yellow sprays using brushes.

And the final touch – to add white splashes and to add “water” to the sink 😉

Now finished!

Some close-ups…

Hope you like it! 🙂
