Hi lovelies,
Caroline here today to share with you a fun step by step tutorial showing you how to create a resist technique with 3D gel and Lindy’s inks. I used 2 tones of gorgeous Lindy’s purple to make this one. I worked with both Starburst and Flat Fabio sprays one over each other for this unique effect. Let me show you!
First, I started with 3d gel on a watercolor paper base over a stencil.
Once my gel was totally dry, I colored over it with Flat fabio Frenchy’s pink pouf and a wet brush. This soft color is really awesome over white!
I heated the ink with a heat gun to quickly dry it. Then I used art stones and glued them with the same 3d gel just around where I wanted to glue my picture.
I moulded a frame with paper paste and once completely dry I colored it with Starburst Sweet violet purple teal.
I played with the same color over my art stones.
You can now see the results on my completed layout.
Here’s some close-ups to see the details.
That’s all for today, I hope you enjoyed this technique and give it a try!
Lindy’s products used:
- Flat Fabio: Flat fabio Frenchy’s pink pouf
- Starburst: Starburst Sweet violet purple teal.
Others: Stencil: Kaisercraft, Badge: Cuts2luv, Chipboard: Dusty Attic, Diecuts: Les Créations Edith Cloutier.
Love your layouts so much Caroline- they are always so elegant and really, really beautiful! I never worked with mat gel as a resist, so thank you for sharing that technique:) xo
