Starburst Sprays on Black Canvas with Caroline

Hi gang!

Caroline here today to show you some canvas art I made with Lindy’s sprays over black gesso. I used Starburst spays over the canvas but just so you know, on black you don’t really see the color of the spray ink – just the shimmer, that’s why I chose Starbursts sprays (which have the glimmer in them) over the top of the black and gives a fabulous sparkly look.

Let’s start this by covering a canvas with black gesso. Make it dry with a heat gun then chose your embellishments and glue them in place.

Once everything is fixed, cover the whole thing with black gesso.

Pick up your favorite shades of Starburst sprays to mist over your canvas. I choose 3 shades. I started with Witch potion purple that has a blue glimmer in it, I used Time travel teal then which as a gold glimmer and I finished with Golden Sleigh Bells that is gold too.

The color was pretty subtle so I added droplets of Flat fabio Sidewalk chalk to the whole canvas. This white spray make the previous shades react again and they added an amazing shade to my white drops.

Look how gorgeous are the mix of glimmers and white tinted drops.

This effect is subtle but gorgeous! I took many pictures from different angles to show you the glimmer effect.

I’ve filmed my whole process in a short video. It is also available on the Lindy’s youtube channel here
