Lindy’s Magicals and Shakers with transfer foil technique by Asia

Hello Lindy’s friends

Today I am back to share with you a very effective technique, how to apply transfer foil on a beautiful background created with Lindy’s Magicals and Magical Shakers. This technique is very easy, you just need a little bit of patience and you can achieve truly amazing effects. I’ve prepared a video tutorial for you, but let’s start with some basic steps and a few photos.

Basic Process

  1. Wet the paper with water (this works best on watercolor paper)
  2. Apply Lindy’s powders with a brush, sprinkling them over the wet part of the page (of course you can use sprays to do this as well!)
  3. Spray some more water, if needed, to move the paint more freely, then dry it with a heat tool
  4. Use transfer foil adhesive (if the glue is not very fluid, try adding some water to it) and with a brush or even a tootbrush, sprinkle the glue over the page
  5. Let it dry a little
  6. Add the transfers foil (or flakes)
  7. Rub off the excess of the foil
  8. Add some embossing (you’ll find some hints on how to use the embossing powders in the video)
  9. Add embellishments.

This is the background I’ve created:

Few close-ups so you can see how I’ve decorated the background.
