Hello Lindy’s Lovers,
It’s Alicja here and I want to show you my very first photo tutorial with fantastic Lindy’s products! I prepared an altered plastic paint palette using my favorite violet colors. I created a fairytale forest, which is very magical and lived in by beautiful animals. Of course, it couldn’t be done without some plants – made from paper, artificial and even natural!
Grab some supplies.
After covering all of the surfaces with white gesso and paper texture paste, I started applying different violet colors. I used sprays: Pop Rock Purple, Black Banshee Black, Sweet Violet Purple Teal and Magical powders mixed with water (Prima Donna Purple and Magnolia Magenta Gold). I dried every layer and repeated this until I achieved the best effect.
I wanted a more textured background, so I decided to make green structural paste by mixing 3d powder, white gesso and magical Greased Lightnin’ Green.
…and applied it with a spatula.
To reduce the contrast between colors, I sprayed Sea Mint Green around the places with green paste
This was the perfect time to prepare the embellishments I wanted to use. I decided to use embossing powders to color the chipboard leaves.
Firstly I applied Merry-go-Round Green and then, to make a more interesting effect with two shades of green, I added Oakleaf Olive.
Using Pop Rock Purple EP I colored a butterfly and then made some splatters with the spray in the same color.
Let’s go back to the palette! When it was dry, I used gloss effect medium and made some splatters with Pop Rock Purple flat spray. It gave a magical look to this project – on the photo below you can see how it shines in some places.
The background was done so I could start making the composition. I used many paper die cuts, sisal fibers and leaves on the base.
As the focal point, I picked violet flowers and this gorgeous paper deer.
At the end, I added some transparent and colorful microbeads and glitter.
Done!
Here are some close-ups so you can see how pretty those colors really are.
