Textured Tag using Squirts with Alicja

Hello my dears,

It’s Alicja here to show you a new mixed media project with Lindy’s! I used fantastic two tonned Squirts and created a textured tag with forest elements. Let me show you how it was done…

I used a thick MDF base and covered it with white heavy gesso.

Then, I added white crackle paste and sand effect paste – I wanted a nice textured background.

I’ve decided to use some chipboards in the composition, so I’ve chosen a plant shaped ones and painted them with Emerald Eh?! Squirt – it’s a fantastic, juicy shade of green.

To achieve more interesting effect, I added Spring Leaf Chartreuse embossing powder on the top.

I continued embossing the stamping using Magic Moon Pearls with a moth stamp,

…and Cowabunga Copper with some words.

When pastes on the base were completely dry, I could start coloring.
I grabbed my favorite color of Squirts – Beaver Tail Brown and poured it on the tag. It has a fabulous green shimmer!

I also added Maple Syrup Bronze and My Mojito Green Magical.

It was a perfect time to start with the composition. I glued on the chipboard…

…and a white birch bark which I had found walking in the forest.

I’ve made a mixture with art stones, gel medium, and Ponderosa Pines Olive magical powder. I applied it with a spatula.

It was almost done! To finish my work, I’ve added paper words and butterflies.
