Mixed Media Heart with Lindy’s Magicals and Embossing Powders

Hello dear Lindy’s Lovers!

Alicja here with new another mixed media project on an MDF base. Today I want to show you a simple idea for heart-shaped projects with a beautiful color combo. I used a mix of teals with a touch of juicy yellow.

Let’s start by covering the base with white gesso.

While it was drying I prepared my chipboard wreaths. I used Luminous Lemon EP to color it.

Look how amazing this color is!

After the base was completely dry, I used white crackle paste and applied it with a spatula. I made stripes to create a more interesting effect.

At this step, I could play with some magical powders. It is always the best part of the process. I used two shades of teals – Sassy Saphire and Tibetan Poppy Teal. I mixed them with water and applied with a fine brush.

When everything was ready, I decided to make a more textured background. I chose to stamp with black permanent ink – it’s now ready for building a composition.

I used a few metal embellishments, resin shapes, and wire. I also made some birds with white embossing powder on a black thick paper. And that’s how the composition looks like once everything is glued down.
