Mixed Media Cards with Magicals and Embossing Powders

Hello dear Lindy’s fans! Alicja here and today I want to show you my idea of creating mixed media cards with a mix of summer and autumn colors. I used Lindy’s Magicals and embossing powders to color the embellishments and backgrounds. Let me show you how it was done.

The first thing that has to be done is mixing texture paste with Frosty forest green magical powder. I wanted a green paste to use with a fern stencil. I also made some little splashes on the top with opal sea oats before it was dry, it gave the additional texture and beautiful shimmer.

Then,  I colored the edges of the paper with brown ink and added more splashes with tears on my pillow tangerine magical diluted with water.

This is how it looked after drying.

I decided on three shades of embossing powders to color the chipboard plants. I used Tannenbaum Green Gold for leaves.,

Lederhosen  Laurel  for the ferns

And Holly  Berry  Red Gold for flowers and berries – this color is simply fantastic and sooo shiny.

I glued watercolor paper on scrapbooking paper with a wooden pattern – it is a great background for this kind of project.

I could finally use all my painted elements and create the composition for my cards.
