Floral Card with Lindy’s Magical Shakers from Olga Ravenskaya

Hi dear friends!

It’s Olga Ravenskaya here on the Lindy’s blog today to share my new project, a Floral card using fabulous Lindy’s Magical Shakers.

I’ve just come back from my holidays so I expressed all my good vibes and positive emotions in this bright project.

So here is the easy process of creating my card.

To begin I stamped a piece of a thick handmade paper with floral-themed stamps using water-resistant inks.

Then I added pieces of die cuttings. I glued them on using a clear gesso.

Next, I applied a white modeling paste and immediately sprinkled it with embossing powders – Oom Pah Pah Pink, Desert Moon Turquoise and Bling-y Blonde.

Have a close look – I sprinkled powders without any order, like salt from the salt shakers, to let them mix with each other.

Melt with a heat gun to get such a beautiful effect!

After that I added a few pieces of lace and die cuttings, glued them on using a transparent multi-medium.

Next, stamp with background stamps and glue on different flowers and chipboard leaves.

A little tip – first cover all the flowers with clear gesso to make them more firm and to give them a beautiful shape.

And now it’s Shakers time!

I’ve picked three Shakers – Yodeling Yellow, Time Travel Teal and Alpine Ice Rose and sprinkled them from the bottles like salt onto the edges of my card.

Add a little water from the sprayer and see that truly magical effect!

I decided to make some elements brighter – so I dissolved shakers with water just on my table and tinted flowers and chippies using thin brushes.

Then I mixed a transparent medium with art stones and shakers to get beautiful mixtures for topping.

Apply the art stone mixtures here and there using an old firm brush.

As a final touch, add some little details – splashes of white gesso, tiny sequins, a stamped label, several buttons and acrylic drops.

Glue the card to the cotton cloth and attach ribbons.

Ready!

And several photos as a little inspiration.
