Hello Lindy’s lovers! Today I want to show you a simple and interesting way to use Lindy’s dry Magicals paints. With these, you can create very unusual backgrounds for your projects. The most interesting thing is that it is impossible to predict the final result, but it will certainly be beautiful!
First we need to dilute the powders with a little water. I only have water at the bottom of the cup.
Next, add paint to the water and stir until they are completely dissolved. The most important thing is that the shades you choose are as contrasting as possible and necessarily be dark and light. As a dark shade, I chose a saturated blue color – Tweedle Dee Denim. I have a light shade of white, so I use white gesso, which I also mixed with water and two more colors – Alpine Ice Rose and Yodeling Yellow.
As the next step, I added a small amount of sculptural medium to each cup. Also, mix thoroughly. The main thing here is the consistency of the paint, it should not be too liquid, but it should also flow perfectly, and not be thick as jelly. If suddenly after adding a medium the paint has become too thick, then you need to add a little water and stir until the desired consistency is obtained.
Behind the scenes, I mixed paints several times and added water, and now my paints are ready and are waiting for the next step.
I added WD-40 to each cup. This grease can then spread beautifully on my paint. Remember to mix thoroughly.
And now we proceed to the most interesting part. It is necessary to combine the paints in one cup. I just add everyone in turn to the darkest color.
When all the paints are in the same cup they can no longer be mixed! Take a small round canvas and cover it with a cup on top. Then I turn the canvas over and put it on the stand. This process can be very dirty, so be sure to protect your desk.
Now you can raise the cup! You need to twist the canvas a bit and let the paint flow.
In its raw form, of course, it looks fantastic! Then the paints will keep spreading and the pattern will change. Each fill is unique and inimitable. Be sure to try this awesome process!
It is better to dry such a picture in a natural way. My canvas dried out in a day, changed a little, but it seems to me that it has not become worse.

can you mix Lindy’s shaker powder with white acrylic paint to use for painting?
Glad I could open it for you!
I definitely can not answer this question, because I am not familiar with this product. I can say that any acrylic glossy transparent medium or acrylic varnish is suitable.
Thank you!
