Hello Everyone! Martina aka Frau Pony here with you today with a simple December themed scrapbooking layout using the amazing Lindy’s Starburst Squirts and the beautiful Embossing Powders.
To begin, I have prepped my paper with a thin layer of white Gesso. After that has been dried completely, I have applied some drops of Squirts in Loonie Toonie Teal.
To spread them evenly out, I have used a broad, dry brush.
I have repeated the same steps with the Banff Blue Squirt,
and some Emerald Eh?! Squirt.
That was the moment where I thought that I have enough colors from the picture on my background and started the next step:
Applying texture paste through a stencil. I have set the paper aside to let the texture paste dry naturally.
I have used the drying time to heat emboss some Christmassy diecuts with the beautiful Lindy’s Embossing Powders.
Some of the diecuts have a one layer coverage, and some of them I have two layers. Most of the second layers are in a different color than the first layer is – this gives them an amazing two-toned, sometimes almost marblish effect.
After that has been done, I simply stacked some paper behind my photo before glueing it onto my page and embellished the picture with my heat embossed die cuts.
I love how the colors of picture, background and embellishments coordinate.
