Hello Everyone!
Martina aka Frau Pony here with a really fun and easy technique!
I am creating a card using just one Magical Color. Today I decides to go with Andrea’s Azalea which is one of the colors in the newest Lindy’s Magicals Set Alexandra’s Artists.
I have prepared three pieces of paper which I all color with Andrea’s Azalea.
For the first piece, I mixed just a tiny bit of the Magical powder with water – that gives me a light wash of the color.
I have added some more Magical powder to my mixture for the second, and even more powder for the third piece of paper. This gives me a beautiful palette – the same color in different saturations.
I didn’t apply the color very evenly since I believe that the flowers that I cut from the papers will look more interesting when they’re not too perfectly colored.
You could use any other color, or multiple colors, for a project like this!
When the papers were completely dry, I have die-cut lots of flowers from them.
You can use any die cut you’d like for a project like this. You could even cut shapes like circles, squares or hearts with scissors if you don’t have appropriate dies.
I have glued the fowers in clusters onto my card base. To create some more dimension and interest, I have used foam pads on some of the flowers to raise them off the background.
For my focal point, I have die cut the word “Wonderful” from glittery cardstock and stamped “you are” next to it.
You could also use thigs like stickers or wood veneers.
I absolutely love this card and believe that this technique is super versatile!
I hope you are inspired to give it a try and create a card or project with just one Magical!
