Hi everyone, Jana back again on the Lindy’s Blog and I have a colorful Layout for you. I grabbed some of my favorite Magical Powders and started to play around. I knew that I wanted to use bright colors and butterflies, mixed with black and white.
I started by coloring some white cardstock scraps. I used Hydrangea blue, Tilt-a-wheel teal, Cotton candy pink, Teapot purple and Salt water taffy. I added some powder onto the paper and splattered water over them until I really liked the image.
After everything was completely dry I started to get some different sized butterflies out of the pretty colored papers. I layered them together and also added some machine stitching to some of them. I didn’t cut off the thread ends just because I really love how it´s giving some messy texture.
I grabbed some black and white papers from my stash and ripped some strips apart. I wanted to have some rough and messy edges… I decided to place them on the upper edge from my background paper, which I also colored with the same colors from the butterflies. I love how the black is looking against the bright colors.
The picture shows me and hubby on new years eve! My title is simple but striking and to bring in some more black details I scattered some puffy hearts and little enamel dots around the butterflies.
I am totally in love with this layout and I looooove the colors! Do you have some favorites? If I could, I would use most of the colors on every single page…
I really hope that you’ll like this page too and that you’re inspired to get some rainbow fun on your next project.
