Create a Card with beautiful Spring Flowers

Hello everyone! Oleksander is here and today I’d like to share with you a small tutorial on how to make a very elegant card using a set of Lindy’s Magicals – Alexandra’s Artists, stamps and embossing powders.

First, I stamped all of the flowers onto watercolor paper using black ink and clear pearlescent embossing powder.

Then I colored the images in using a brush and magical sets Alexandra’s Artists diluted with water.

The next step was to set them aside to dry and then to cut each image out.

For creating a background I used a background stamp and the same Lindy’s embossing powder that I used for the flowers.

Transparent embossing powders are very versatile. Using colored inks for the base you can get fantastic colors and hues.

On top of the embossed outline, I sprinkled a bit of magic powder in a chaotic manner and spritzed with water. You can remove extra water or stain with paper towels or paper napkins.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of white paper using black ink and heat embossed multicolored clear embossing powder.

Now when all of the elements were ready it was time to assemble the card using foam squares to add a little height and raise the flowers from the card background.

As all the Magicals have very beautiful soft hues, there was no need to use any additional embellishments.

  1. I love everything about this card and I would love to duplicate it (with your permission!!) Could you please tell us the stamp sets that you used for the floral motif and the background? This would be perfect for Mother’s Day!!!
