Hi, beautiful Lindy’s gang!
This blog post will be different from others. Today I decided to give you a peek of my little craft studio. It occupies a small cold room, kind of a mud room, but I totally furnished it with practical and affordable IKEA furniture, and it is really cozy now. I did it two years ago and had to rent a small truck and go over the Baltic sea with it by ferry from Estonia to Finland for this because we did not have IKEA in Estonia back then. But it was all worth the effort. I also organized it all the way that I now have a sink and running water in my studio (had to do a lot of pipework there), which is very important for a mixed media artist.
So this is how my studio looks like when clean and tidy… which is hardly ever hahaha
I store most of my craft supplies in this Kallax bookshelf system by IKEA. This is really handy and keeps things very tidy.
This storage organization wall board is also super convenient! It frees a lot of table surface (which is never enough).
On the wall across the table, I have some picture shelves for my ready projects. This space is definitely not enough, but I like to have some projects on the walls as inspiration. I change my “exhibition” once in a while.
These two IKEA Rascog utility carts are my best assistants! I store most of my paints in them. First, I bought just one but very soon I understood that I needed another cart as well, so I ordered it online. These carts are very loved by crafters, and I can totally confirm that they are super convenient!
I store all my Lindy´s Magicals and chunky EPs in their original set packages. This way they occupy the least space.
I do not make separate color charts for my Lindy´s products, because I normally try them all in an art journal as soon as I get them, and I tend to remember all the colors pretty well. So this is how I store my EPs: upside down. It is enough for me to quickly find the right powder because I do not have too many of them. The EPs I use the most are metallic shades like gold, bronze, and silver, as well as white and clear.
I store my Lindy´s shakers in a wooden round box that is the perfect size to hold all the shakers together.
In the other cart, I store all my Lindy´s Sprays and squirts on the upper shelf. They are always at hand.

Thank you! I do manage to keep sprays of the walls hahaha 🙂 But my table is totally dirty! It looks nice and white on the picture, but it is actually all covered in little splatter. I cover it with a plastic IKEA mat while working, but the paint still get everywhere around and underneath the mat 🙂 Don´t worry. We are all alike.

Thank you so much for sharing; I enjoy seeing other artist’s/crafter’s work spaces because it helps me get ideas on how to organize and store my supplies as well. I think as a creator, we always have more supplies that actual creations. LOL. Thanks again.
