Hey Gang!
Today I am going to share the first of a two part series – 5 ways with Magicals!
I have used the gorgeous Drop Dead Diva set for this series and all these techniques are perfect for Cardmakers, Scrapbookers, Art Journals and so much more.
Let me show you the Magical Dabbibng technique
Start with taking a little of the Magical Powder and add a very small amount to the palette— I’m talking an amount half the size of your little fingernail! Then use a pipette and gently add in some clean water… now you are ready to create!
Use a pencil & draw two faint lines through the middle of your page about 4 inches apart.
Using a #12 round brush, add a generous amount of blue and swish it around, then repeat with green pushing it gently up to the blue. Then repeat with yellow—the trick is to work fast and keep a generous amount of liquid on the page and only push up to the pencil line.
Dab off excess liquid with a paper towel
To finish, mask off the white area with scrap paper then use black archival ink and a stamp to add an image to the colored area. Add some doodling with a black pen and you are all done!
Magical Smoosh Technique
This one is so much fun! Grab a piece of plastic packaging or piece of acetate and use a brush to paint on a generous amount of color and then ‘smoosh’ it down onto your page.
Pick it up and smoosh it down to another part of your page—repeat with a second color making sure you don’t ‘smoosh’ directly onto the last color – smoosh next to it or in a different spot to ensure you don’t get ‘mud’. Add a few splatters to finish.
