Hi everyone, Jana back again on the Lindy’s blog, sharing a fun new project with you all.
I was in the mood for a bright and colorful layout. I wanted to use many many colors and decided to go with a bright Magical rainbow!
I started with a piece of white cardstock and twelve Magical powders. I added some of the powder dry to my paper and sprinkled water on top. I let the colors blend into each other and created a gorgeous row of rainbow colors… some of the colors i used; hydrangea blue, time travel teal, sea mint green, golden sleigh bells, plumeria pink and tea pot pruple. I´ll link you to all of the colors at the end of the post.

After everything was dry and i was happy with the results, i scribbled some leaves all over the colors. Different sizes but all in the same shape. I hand cut them out and made my decisions about the placement and the design on my layout.
I grabbed a black and white picture from a day at the sea, a cardboard tag, some thread for the element behind the picture, black foam alphas, butterflies and some stickers… as you can see i started with the blue leaves next to the pictures and worked in a circle shape around the paper.
I also added some splatters with the same colors around the leaves. I placed the word “DREAM” on a piece of vellum and stitched through them. There is a lot of dimension going on and i really love how it looks.
The butterflies were attached with some staples and the wings folded up. It looks more realistic and I like it. I grabbed tons of enamel dots, hearts and puffy stickers to add lots of same colored details…
I really enjoyed this process and i really needed this rainbow magic! I hope you´re inspired to use lot of magical powders on your next project! SO much FUN!
