Hello everyone! Oleksandr Azarov here on the Lindy’s blog today and I’m happy to share with you a tutorial on how to make a decorative key holder organizer.
First of all I prepared a base: took an MDF blank left from the previous projects and tree branches from the woods.
Adhered the branches to the base. Added decorative stones of different sizes and crackle paste here and there in a chaotic manner. Some places I covered with white gesso.
When the base was all dry I could start painting. For this project, I chose the following bright colors of shakers: Magnolia Magenta Gold, Afternoon Delight Denim, Time Travel Teal, Yodeling Yellow.
I sprinkled some powder randomly and added water using water- atomizer. To get additional color transitions and tones you can mix the colors with a brush.
When I got the desired result I set it aside to dry completely and using 3D gloss gel I adhered flowers and a clock face.
To tie flower composition with the rest of the base I sprinkled some sprays: Golden Sleigh Bells, Sea Mint Green , Blazing Sun.
To the bottom of the base I screwed some hooks ( you can buy them in any hardware store). I didn’t like their original color and covered them with white paint to match my project.
The final touches were to add large glitter and the key holder organizer was all ready.
Here are some close-up photos.
