Hey Gang!
I’m back today with Part 2 of 5 Ways with Magicals. If you didn’t catch Part 1 – pop back here and have a look!
These techniques are using the Drop Dead Diva Magical set and there are so many things that you can do – and its not at all difficult!
Use a scrap piece of paper to mask off half your page and then use a fan brush to sprinkle on a small amount of purple powder – then repeat with blue.
Now use a water spray and add a misting of water—the more water you add, the more the powder will dissolve together making a solid color — so at this point you can either keep adding water or stop when you love the effect!
Finish with a little stamping and chipboard
Use a clean stencil and give it a generous spray with water. While it is wet, flip it over and lay it down on your page. Lift it up—now you have left a wet ‘stencil impression’ on your page.
Now use a fan brush and add purple & blue powder to the wet impression. Give it a few minutes to dry and then brush off any excess powder.
This technique takes a little practice to get the perfect amount of water on your stencil but its super cool!
Any paper with a clear gloss image can create a ‘resist’, or you can use a stamped heat embossed image – it will do the same thing.
Use your brush to add blue to the paper then give it a spray to keep it wet before adding the purple.
Swish it around a little with your brush and then roll some paper towel over it to take off the excess. Then use the paper towel to polish off any color on the gloss!
