Layout using Mountain Meadows & EP Boogie Down Black with Jana

Hi everyone, Jana back on the Lindy´s Blog with a new scrapbooking layout.
This is my first project using the awesome new Mountain Meadows FLAT Magical Set and also some stamping and heat embossing.

I started with a big mandala stamp in the background which I heat embossed with the awesome Boogie Down Black EP. I love how crisp and clean the image turned out. I colored the background with one of the new Mountain Meadows Magicals, Stormy Sky… look how pretty these colors are.

Once the background was dry I started to build up my layout. I grabbed some rusty elements, some parts from very old clocks, some moths, wire, and a small light bulb. Also some papers and a paper bag for the layering behind my picture. But my background was not done yet, I wanted to bring in some brown tones and decided to use the Moon Shadow Mist Tawny Turquoise – I love this color so much.

I clustered everything pretty close around my picture and there is a lot of dimension going on. I love the mix of old rusty things and silver, like the wire or the small light bulb. I distressed all of the papers and stickers I used. We spent a great day outside and the theme for my project is TIME. Life is busy and quality time is rare but oh so important!

I enjoyed this process so much, I love the new Magical colors and I can´t wait to use them on the next projects…  I really hope you´re inspired to get your Lindy´s products out and start making.
