Layered Layout Background with Lindy´s Magicals

Hello everyone, Jana back again on the Lindy´s Blog today, sharing a new scrapbooking Layout with some fun techniques.

But first, let me apologize, there are no “in the making” pictures to share with you today. The setting from the camera were so terribly wrong that I couldn´t use them at all… I´ll try to explain as well as possible!

I started with some Magicals and Soft Gloss Gel. I started with Steampunk Sepia, mixed them both together, and added them with a brayer to my background paper. I love the uneven and messy look. The second layer was the same Gel with Clam Bake Beige… the third with Glitzy Gold. The layers were totally dry before I added the next one. I added a layer of Clear Gesso to be able to add some more colors.

I mixed the Steampunk Sepia with some texture paste to add some dimension to my layers. Once the paste was dry I added some splatters, the awesome, shiny, and perfect Glitzy Gold Magical Powder and some with the Starburst Spray “Gossamer Gold”.

After i was totally happy with my finished background paper i started to work on my embellishments. I heat embossed some metal leaves and used the U so fine EP – Cool Man Copper for it. I love the shiny copper color!!

I did some fussy cutting for flower clusters, grabbed some pretty papers, a piece from an old clock and a big tag. The picture shows me at the age of 5 or maybe 6.  I curled some gold wire to little circles and added them to mix. I love to mix different metal tones, like here the copper and the gold.

I colored three little white paper flowers with the Starburst Spray “Gossamer Gold” and they were placed close around my picture. The flowers were the last details I added to my project. I am totally in love with the colors and with the layered background paper. I will definitely work on some more of these.
