Natalie’s Sprinkle & Spritz Technique using Lindy’s Magicals

Hey there Gang.

Natalie here today sharing an easy Step By Step on how to create a simple Scrapbook Page using the ‘Sprinkle & Spritz’ technique using Magicals.

This layout is based on the October Color Challenge which was super inspiring this month – Have you had a go yet?

I started with some gorgeous chipboard designed by our very own Aga Baranaik and heat embossed it with Wowzers White & Angel Wings Peacock embossing powder.  I used the white first and then added the Angel Wings Peacock over the top just to give it a slight shimmer of teal.

The cardstock I used for the layout is a Foundations Paper from Vicki Boutin. It’s a lovely heavyweight Mixed Media Paper and perfect for this technique.  I marked in pencil approximately where the chipboard was going to sit and then got to work!

I sprinkled on the Stormy Silver Magical Shaker first & then gently activated it with water. Using a paintbrush, I moved the color around on the page a little and dried it with a heat tool.

Next, sprinkle on some T-Bird Turquoise using a dry brush and activated it with water before drying and then repeated with Tiffanylou’s Blue.

Once they were both dry, I then added a small amount of Hibiscus Rose powder & gently activated it – the tip here is less is definitely best. As the flat magical pink is super bold, I didn’t want too much.

When the page was totally dry, I added a few lightly stamped images, a couple of pieces of ephemera, title & done!

So have a go at this fun and easy technique – going for the less is best approach can be difficult but practice makes perfect!
