Embossing Powder Magic | Fall inspired Canvas

Hi everyone, Jana back again on the blog, sharing a fall inspired canvas with lots of Lindy’s and heat embossed details.

I started with stamping and heat embossing on vellum, i used Chalk it up and Groovy Granite from the YouRock EP pack, Wowzers White and Boogie Dawn Black and Twilight Bronze Slate.

Once I was happy and finished with the stamping and embossing, I decided to use some leave dies for the awesome vellum pieces. I wanted to create lots of layers on my project.

I prepped my 10×10 canvas with lots of textures, like plaster, art stones, texture paste and a frame out of wood.

Then I started to color it, I grabbed some Magical powders, Clam bake beige and Canna lily burnt orange. I added lods of water, powder and layers.

But i also wanted bring in some white embossed areas to this background. I needed to help the other elements to stand out a bit more… so i grabbed the chalk it up and the groovy granite YOU ROCK EP again.

I started with some small areas but in the end I will cover up most of the surface… I couldn’t stop at all. I really love how the embossed areas looked and it reminded me of snow; has nothing to do with fall, I know!

I wanted to bring in some more colored leaves and so I created my own fall leaves out of a cut file and lots of Lindy´s Sprays.

I used the following sprays for the fall leaves: Dark Chocolate Truffle, Milk Chocolate Brown, Grab a Guy Gold, Red Hot Poker Orange, California Poppy Gold, Autumn Maple Crimson and a Moon Shadow Mist called Gossamer Gold. I really love how the leaves turned out…

I started to arrange my bunch of leaves close around the picture, in a row from the top to the bottom. I heat embossed some stars, with Twilight Bronze Slate and a touch of the Chalk it up on the edges… I added more and more details to this composition.

Some papers behind my picture, some word stickers and butterflies…

Small cones, mull and fake twigs. Also some white sisal for even more texture.

The Vellum leaves were put between the layers. I love the mix of different colors and textures.

I really enjoyed making this project, even if I went out of control adding stuff… it reminds me of a frosty fall morning, or early winter days. I love to create my own elements and Lindy´s products are always good for it!
