Hi dear crafty friends! Julia Chernoberezskaya here today with you.
On the eve of winter, it’s time to start preparing for the new year! Homemade Christmas toys will decorate the house and add coziness to the holiday.
Making them is not difficult at all.
I decided to make Christmas tree decorations out of walnut shells. First, I glued the halves of the shell and glued in a loop of thin rope.
Then I painted them with white primer.
On top, I pasted strips of fabric and lace, because they will absorb the paint.
Additionally, I prepared the leaves. I cut them out with a punching knife, took several shades of embossing powder and decorated them that way.
I painted the nuts themselves with sprays so that beautiful color transitions were obtained.
After everything is dry, you can glue the beads and add leaves.
Our Christmas decorations are ready!
- Embossing Powders: Oom Pah Pah Pink, Stardust Candy Rose, Cleopatra’s Copper
- Sprays: Clam Bake Beige Shimmer Spray, Steampunk Sepia Shimmer Spray, Raspberry Lemonade Flat Spray, Kissin’ Kenickie Coral Flat Spray
- Finnabair heavy gesso, beads.
Have a good day!
