Greeting Card on the Eve of the New Year

Hello Lindy’s Gang. It’s Oleksandr Azarov here with you today, on the eve of the new year, and I have a tutorial on how to create this stunning greeting card.

First of all, I selected a watercolor paper cutting for the future postcard: light bulbs and twigs with stars.

Using gold powder Gimme Five Gold Detail EP for embossing, I stamped the poinsettia and orange slices on watercolor paper.

I randomly painted the bulbs with sprays : Rudolph’s Nose Red Shimmer Spray, Canna Lily Burnt Orange Shimmer Spray, Cattail Copper Brown Shimmer Spray, Golden Sleigh Bells Shimmer Spray and dried them thoroughly with a hairdryer.

I also painted the image of poinsettia and orange slices using the same spheres as for coloring the lamps. Blow dry and cut with scissors.

I covered the leaves and stars on the branches with embossing powder. I also added not much rust to the lanterns using Tin Roof, Rusted! Chunky EP.

I created the background using a stencil and embossing ink. I applied ink and powder through a stencil .

Now that all the elements are ready, we proceed to the assembly of the composition, for this, I used foam tape to add volume and airiness. As a final touch, I added congratulatory lettering, which I stamped using Gimme Five Gold Detail EP.

And now the card is ready.
