Hi everyone, Jana back again on the Lindy’s blog and I have a fun new scrapbooking layout for you.
I started this project with my son, some embossing ink and his hand. He had this idea for quite a while and we finally made it into a layout. We did a print from his hand on a white sheet of heavy cardstock. I used the Wowzers White fine embossing powder for the heat embossing and I love how awesome the hand turned out.
I painted with different magical powders over the hand and because of the water resist effect from the embossed hand I could easily wipe off the color from the hand. I used the following powders: Time travel teal, Sassy sapphire, Shabby turbine teal, Bells of ireland green and Rusty lantern lime.
The picture shows my little on and my hubby being crafty outside. My hubby showed him how to use some tools and they build something. I decided to take the nature theme to build up my layering. I tried to stay in the natural colors and I don´t mind the little red on the picture.
Some sisal and small twigs were placed between the layers and I finished this layout with some matching enamel dots.
I really love how the bright magical colors let the hand print pop out from the background. This technique is just fun and need to be done more often, right?
