Hi everyone, i have a fun new Layout for you.
I heat embossed a huge stamped image in white and colored the background with some bright magical colors.
I started with a big floral background stamp and heat embossed it with “wowzers white” fine EP. I really love how it turned out and I was tempted to use it as it is, just because white on white is awesome. Right?!
I knew that I wanted to use some pretty butterflies on my project and I decided to color my background based on the butterfly colors. I picked the following powders: mango mania FLAT, fuzzy navel peach, cocklebells coral and cotton candy pink!
I wanted to have the white embossing flowers to stand out a bit more and so I started to color only on the edges from my background paper. I sprinkled some powder over the flowers and added the water on top. The background paper was not primed with gesso and so the colors/water could soak into the paper and between the heat embossed lines. I really love how it looks.
I mixed all four powders until I was totally happy with the outcome. I connected both areas with some colors in the middle. I also added lots of splatters in color and black. Just because I knew I wanted to add some black details to my page.
Once my background was ready to go I scattered some butterflies, stickers and enamel dots around the colored areas. I really love how bright and happy this layout is! You can never go wrong with butterflies, right?!
